the dice on eight years of success."

If the last 8 years were such a "success", why is the economy shaky and
bordering on recession, why is the military gutted, with every branch finding
it difficult to keep service personnel, WHY are Social Security and Medicare
on the verge of bankruptcy, WHY are gasoline prices the highest in our history,
with NO explanation ever forthcoming, why are natural gas and heating oil prices
going through the roof, and why are parts of the country now finding that they no
longer have even enough electricity for normal infrastructure purposes???
None of these issues bode well for arguing that the country and the
economy have been well managed for the last several years.
