O'Reilly: Waxman is what's wrong iwth America

http://www.foxnews.com/channel/oreilly/commentary.sml

"The Talking Points memo this evening zeros in on Congressman
Henry Waxman of California.

Quite simply, Mr. Waxman is what's wrong with America. Pithy
enough.

Here's what the Congressman said today about former DNC finance
chairwoman Beth Dozoretz taking the Fifth Amendment in front of
the House Government Reform Committee.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

REP. HENRY WAXMAN (D), CALIFORNIA: I don't think it's
constructive to call Mrs. Dozoretz before the committee if the
goal is to punish her for asserting her constitutional right and
to create a media spectacle.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

Incredibly, Mr. Waxman seems to feel sorry for Ms. Dozoretz, a
woman whom apparently feels she may have broken the law.
Incredibly, Mr. Waxman doesn't want the American people to see
this woman exercise her right to not testify in a matter
important to the country.

So, let's everyone Republicans, Democrats, Technocrats
everybody ask this question, is Congressman Henry Waxman
interested in finding out the truth of possible presidential
corruption, or is he trying to diminish the investigation?

Wait, let me answer that. Congressman Waxman does not want to
know the truth. He ran interference for Mr. Clinton during the
impeachment hearings and also on the campaign finance issue. Mr.
Waxman is not upholding his oath to execute the laws of the land
because he does not seek out wrongdoing. He is a good example of
why our government is often seen as partisan and corrupt.

Mr. Waxman did not want you to see and hear this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BETH DOZORETZ, FORMER DNC FINANCE CHAIRWOMAN: Upon the advice of
my counsel, I respectfully decline to answer that question based
on the protection afforded me under the United States
constitution.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

Henry Waxman should be ashamed and his constituents primarily in
the rich areas of Los Angeles should be mortified.

The downside is that Henry Waxman has done many good things in
his congressional tenure. He has lead the fight to improve
nursing home conditions and health programs for children. He
seems to be a caring man who looks out for the weakest in our
society.

But he has one huge blind spot: Henry Waxman, and others like
him, does not want justice. He wants his ideology to prevail and
is willing to overlook corruption to make that happen.

Talking Points has had enough of that kind of leadership. The
first responsibility of every American is to demand honest
government. Not make excuses for dubious behavior and defend
powerful people who plea the fifth.

You are hurting your country, Congressman Waxman and I am calling
you on it. You have an open invitation to appear on The Factor to
reply.

And that's the memo."

"Time now for the Most Ridiculous Item of the day and you should
take this for what you think it is worth.

The National Enquirer is reporting that Bill Clinton had an
affair with Denise Rich. And columnist Cindy Adams says the two
watched one of the presidential debates in her Manhattan home.

Ridiculous? Who knows? Denise Rich is denying it. Mr. Clinton
hasn't responded."
