Look, I'm flattered and all, but let's be realistic here. My talent with
language is something I was born with, and while I'm glad it happened, I
can�t honestly take credit. It�s either the work of God or the work of
blind chance, depending on which you choose to believe.
But style is not what my writing is about. My writing is about research.
I look stuff up I tell you what I find. Research takes very little
talent, if any. Research is not about inspiration. Research is about
perspiration. If you know what you�re looking for, and you just keep
looking and you do it in a thorough and systematic fashion, sooner or
later you will find it. It�s a lot more like digging a ditch than it is
like rocket science.
The trouble with conspiracy research, and historical research in
general, is not that it�s difficult, but that so few people seem willing
to make the effort to dig. Most people seem willing to let others dig
for them. Not every alleged researcher digs their ditch in a straight
line. A lot of them shovel pure crap. The result is massive and
widespread delusions. This is not accidental. There are people out there
who get paid to tell you lies and to distract and divert you from the
reality of their masters� crimes. Other people do it for sport.
It behooves anyone who wants to know what�s really going on out there to
find out for themselves. This means going to multiple sources, and
whenever possible to primary sources. Above all, it means not taking any
single guy�s word for anything, not even mine.
This is not difficult to do, nor is it an unpleasant way to pass time.
But it is time consuming. The essence of effective research is time
management. Life is short. How much of it do you really want to spend
listening to one or two guys who may or may not be lying or wrong?
You�ll never learn the truth of anything from one guy, except the nature
of his own opinions. If you want an opinion, have one of your own. But
base it on facts, not somebody else�s opinions.
If a guy said something happened, find out if he�s telling the truth.
First check his sources. If he gave none, he�s lying. If he gives only a
single source, they�re lying. Conspiracy, by it�s very nature, is buried
under a pile of lies. Conspiracy theory isn�t built, it�s uncovered.
You�re not trying to build rockets. You�re digging a ditch. Every
shovel full of crap you fling over your shoulder, the closer to your
goal you are. If there�s a guy in front of you digging, the crap he
flings lands in your face. Get out in front of him. Fling crap behind
you. Then you�ll make progress, IMHO.
