Although it's not about "asset" forfeiture, it is about related issues, and it is thought provoking. WHAT ABOUT FORFEITING YOUR LIFE? The shooting down of the missionary plane in Peru is a tragic event. But think this through, this means that our government is involved on a daily basis in: MURDERING INNOCENT PEOPLE. I don't care if these planes have a bale of cocaine strapped to the roof, the pilots are smoking a Groucho Marx size joint and the it has a big sign on the side that says: Drug shipments You are innocent until proven guilty. Don't let our government trash this out as they have trashed "illegal search and seizure" over this phony war on drugs. It is written folks, innocent until proven guilty. The idea that an official part of our government is involved in this is shocking. It appears that this comes right from the President. Our laws permit these folks to be tried IN A COURT OF LAW FOR MURDER.
