Well today the state DEP finally admitted that the almost 1000 barrels
of ammonia on the site are a potential problem...the fire was so hot as to
make the metal barrels brittle, which could cause them to leak into the
river...
They aren't admitting that any of the stuff actually HAS leaked into
the river...
But the fish ARE dying, and the birds aren't eating the fish that are
still swimming...
And the river is now a milky color...probably due to all the liquid
latex that washed into it during the fire...
But when ammonia mixes with water, it too usually turns a milky
color....
Tap water's still brown, too...
