WHERE BUSH PLAN COLUMBIA PAY OFF GOESRemember I write from the land of John McCain and what he calls campaign reform. He understands as well as I do that only those qualified to vote for a candidate should be allowed to contribute to their campaign. And then it should be a fixed amount that the average person whould have a chance to give --- certainly not as high as $1,000. Then only individuals can contribute because only individuals are represented. No PACs, no Unions no corporations --- unless an individual delegates his limit to such an organization.
McCain knows that would be fair but he also knows that system would not favor him as the present one does.
In every election in Arizona half the campaign money comes from not only outside the district being represented but outside the state. That money is pure bribe money and our politicians love it. They thrive on it and they will never end it on thier own. Let McCain forget about the distinctions of hard money and soft money and eliminate this OUT OF DISTRICT MONEY that should not be given to campaigns.
You and I can not get in to see our congressman but these companies below can pick up their telephones and get them any time they wish. How is it that there is a $1,000 limit on campaign contributions form individuals and a much higher limit for corporations? It is a system of bribery where the welfare of the public is bribed away.
