UPDATE ON THE SPRINGMEIERS, THEY JOIN THE GROWING NUMBER OF LOOTED AMERICANS
by Fritz Springmeier

I promised people I would provide updates on how Patty and I are doing after
the military assault on our property by the FBI, ATF, Sheriff, and SWAT team
on March 1, 2001.
What Patty and I are experiencing is really a sad story that is being
repeated all across the United States. The DEA and other law enforcement
agencies are simply out on the take looting from hapless victims. We are no
longer safe to travel, or even safe in our own homes because the
uncontrollable power that our government/police have delegated to themselves.
It has been four and half months now, and we have never been charged with
anything, and yet our possessions and money and projects that were looted from
us are in government hands. The government seized personal property that in no
way could have anything to do with a search warrant for marijuana. How does my
reporters credentials have anything to do with marijuana? How do the books I
was working on have anything to do with illegal drugs? And yet the government
has stonewalled our attorneys attempts to get our personal possessions back.
In looting our property and then stonewalling our efforts to get our personal
property back, they have clearly shown that their raid was not about drugs,
but was for other reasons, which should be obvious to the casual observer.
They (or someone in the raid) also pocketed money that was not recorded on the
sheets they left us. Granted, it wasnt much money, but it is just the idea
that someone can come into the sanctity of your home and legally loot it for
their own gain.
This kind of thing is happening all over America. Even ex-policemen are
becoming victims of this looting. (Maybe things have a way of coming around
eventually. It would be nice if some of these policemen could wake up and
realize that they and their families are not going to enjoy living in an out
of control police state any more than you and I. Should anyone want, I will
provide them with the titles of books they can read, with the personal stories
of Nazis in Germany who came to regret the police state they themselves had
created.)
Beware of having cash where it can be found. A woman named Ethel Hylton had
cash from an insurance settlement and from her life savings ($39,110), when
she went she went through Houston TXs Hobby Airport. Even though she could
document where her money came from, and they could find no drugs on her, and
never charged her with anything, the police still looted her money. This is
one reason they came out with the new money with the strips, so they can
electronically detect your cash and then loot it. Once her money was gone, she
had nothing with which to fight back. That has been part of our situation.
The raid cost us lots of time and money, and since we will have to continue
legally trying to get our possessions returned it will continue to drain us.
Under civil asset forfeiture, a persons property is charged with a crime.
Examples of this are United States vs. one 1998 Mercedes Benz and
California vs. 1711 Main St. Once the property is charged with a crime, the
police seize it and divide the loot up with the courts. The police in some
cases personally get 25%. The courts take their percentage kickback, and the
police/DEA/etc. get their percentage to keep financing the looting of more
sheeple. We are merely sheep to be shorn and bullied around.
One case with which I can identify with took place in Montgomery, AL. Gussie
Mae Gantt had been calling the police complaining about drug-dealers using her
neighborhood. To protect her property she had posted no-trespassing signs. She
had done all she could to stop these activities. The police response was to
send in an informant who bought drugs on her property (which was videotaped),
and then to seize her home. Easy money for these crooks with badges. Ive
noticed that the police have never been interested when I report my car being
stolen, assaults on my physical body, or other crimes against my person. They
only seem interested as far as I can detect in bullying people, and figuring
out how to loot. (If this seems harsh, unfortunately its the only picture
Ive seen of police now days.) If they had any real interest in fighting
drugs, they would be trying to stop the government from handing out cocaine
(oopsthey renamed it Ritalin) to half of our school children.
The establishment newspapers have said that America and Russia are growing
closer togetherwell, yes, both are run by criminals; they both have
evilarcies in power, and the common people are increasingly aware of this.
With over $1 billion in property being seized each year WITHOUT trial from
innocent Americans, its getting harder to hide the looting, even though the
looting is under reported by the establishment media, who repeatedly try to
build up the image of the police. That $1 billion plus figure comes from an
organization FEAR (Forfeiture Endangers American Rights) at www.fear.org. One
of Americas leading asset defense attorneys Brenda Grantland has written a
book Your House is Under Arrest. Copies are available from 707-726-8796,
www.isil.org.
So goes the news from the Springmeiers.
