This is not a new policy...back when I was in school in the 60s, any student would have been busted for bringing a knife to school or into a school dance...there were gangs even back then, and carrying a knife was a siren call to have a 'rumble'... I really would like to see your justification for allowing students to carry knives on themselves to school and to school dances...
