If Levy is no longer in the building, she or her body had to have left it
at some time on either 4/30 or 5/1, yet the building's 24-hour security
system has no record of it. Neither does it show anyone having come to
her apartment.
Obviously she either had to have left her apartment under her own
volition, or she was killed in her apartment and her body taken out. The
fact that there is no record on the security system of her leaving the
building or someone coming in, the possibility that she or body remained
in the BUILDING (albeit not in her apartment) at least for some days
after her parents first reported her missing has to be considered as a
distinct possibility.
I doubt that either she (if alive) or her body would still be there at
this time, but she could have definitely been in another apartment in
the building through the first and perhaps the 2nd week of May. After
the initial police search of Levy's apartment and the public areas of the
building, she or her body could have left the building unnoticed, because
at that time attention was focused elsewhere...

She probably wasn't killed (if indeed she is dead) in her own apartment.
She could have gone to another apartment in the building (which the
security system doesn't track) and have been killed there.
Such a scenario would explain why she took her keys (so she could get
back into her own locked apartment) and not her purse...
Such a scenario is more likely than she would leave her purse behind to
go riding on the back of a motorcycle...

It is indeed impossible to completely clean up evidence of spilled blood.
If Levy was strangled, given a hypodermic injection, had her head
held under a full tub of water, or drank poison, there would be no blood
to be cleaned up or to be detected by forensic methods.
