Popular, Obscure Symbols Defined as 'Hate'
(CNSNews.com) - Many images and symbols have been used in the promotion of racism and
violent bigotry in western culture, but increasingly, the number of "hate" symbols is
growing to include numerology, acronyms and religious symbols, some of which are
generating confusion and even lawsuits over their use and interpretation. Many such
symbols are cataloged by the Anti-Defamation League, which has created a database of
symbols it says have been adopted by "neo-Nazis, the Ku Klux Klan, racist skinheads,
racist prison gangs and other hate or extremist groups or movements," according to the
organization's website.
