If this is true, why didn't this guy come forward before now? If he indeed
was 'promptly fired the next day', then he had nothing to lose by going
directly to either the police or the FBI...
And if this is indeed a true story, one has to keep in mind that Carolyn
Condit was staying in that very same apartment until 5/2...so presumably she
was aware of its condition...
And remember my suggestion, made in a previous post...that Chandra Levy's
destination on 5/1, when she logged off of her computer and headed out the
door with only her keys and no ID, could very well have been to go to the
apartment to confront Mrs. Condit...
And perhaps Mrs. Condit took advantage not only of the opportunity, but of
her husband's "toys", including that gag ball...

Concerned enough to talk to the tabloids (for a fee, I bet) but not to
report it to the authorities? Why? Perhaps because he himself is guilty of
stealing an article from Condit's apartment, and it's the act of thievery
that got him fired, and not the item purloined?

But could have been extremely helpful to the investigation if presented to

I think this 'fired custodian' should be arrested for obstruction of justice
