dumb musik andrew hennessey
I watched an unknown band play a lovely song
about peace in the sunshine that really sounded like
oasis - or better than - with lovely chording, vocals
and melody - very laid back stuff -
this was on an obscure gaelic language programme,
in scotland
these guys were getting an airing.
My heart went out to them - they were brilliant
and totally ignored by the musik media
the next 'music feature' was on trance and dance musik
where it was pointed out that DJ superstars have real style.
[these people get famous by playing somebody elses music]
did I miss the point ??? somewhere ?
