You cannot tax, a tax? A tax refund or rebate is still a tax
refund......
Once I got in trouble with IRS for on the form it said to deduct any
taxes, etc., so I deducted the taxes I paid to the feds.
They told me I could not do that; but I did.
Since that time, they changed the form for the wording on the form for a
person such as myself who looked for all loopholes of big rich - this
was a new one never tried before.
We ended in a compromise.
So a tax rebate is just that and you cannot tax, a tax.
