So for you this is a battle of whose beliefs win?? Yours or
someone else's? I don't think cures are promised in most cases,
just better treatment and I think the drug companies will
absolutely love this. Better yet, let them fund it. Some good has
come from genetic research thus far but how about GM foods?
Deformed clones of animals or ones that die? Many people with
severe health problems have said they do not want to be treated
with methods thus derived. Force them to anyway or just don't tell
them?? It is a bit more complex than just "Christian Extremists."
One time some people are opposed to human experimentation and
another all for it. I find that confusing.

Correction: There is *potentially* plenty of fetal stem cell
tissue, much more
than the 60 lines Bush is limiting the research to. The problem is
that in order
to create stem cells from fetal tissue the fetus has to be
destroyed. Of course
most are destroyed anyway unless they are implanted into a woman's
womb
or kept frozen forever. But that does not make it right according
to the
Christian extremists, and unfortunatly they have an inordinate
influence of our
President who's intelligence is below normal and who's family has a
financial
interest in drug treatments of many of these illnesses. The last
thing they want
is a CURE! Typical.
