Masonic lodge wants to drop its 'devil sign' Ananova Wednesday 22nd August

A Masonic lodge in Iowa wants to ditch its 666 number because it is too
negative.
Members of the Kingston Lodge in Cedar Rapids say the devil's mark is not
suited to a spiritual organisation.
Lodge master Mike Bonney says some members have been so uncomfortable with
the number they have ended up leaving the organisation.
Senior lodge warden Tim Anderson said: "There's no deep mystery to it. The
members of the lodge feel to have a number that has negative spiritual
connotation is just not the right thing."
Lodge 666 was formed in 1967 and is one of 323 Masonic lodges in the Iowa.
Members of the state's Grand Lodge will decide whether to assign Kingston
Lodge the next number in line, 676, when it meets next month.

My opinion with respect to immigration is, that except of some useful
mechanics and some particular description of men and professions, there is no
use of encouragement."
