Because he was Hitler's favorite composer, and Wagner's music was played
in the Nazi death camps; hence for many Jews it is difficult to separate
Wagner's music from Nazi atrocities. Also because Wagner himself was
very anti-Jew. It has nothing to do with the subject matter of Wagnerian
operas, which are, indeed, devoted to Teutonic PAGAN myths glommed onto
the Parsifal saga...myths which the Nazi hierarchy adopted for their own
mythos...
