CAIR today denounced the raid as ""an anti-Muslim witchhunt promoted by the pro- Israel lobby in America." One week before the raid, a major American banking institution "canceled" bank accounts held by several groups using the Infocom service. The FBI claims it does not have to reveal details about the raid because the target is a "foreign terrorist organization operating on US soil." What they are actually saying is that because someone posted a website in America expressing support for an overseas organization that the FBI has arbitrarily labeled "terrorist", that the FBI can raid the internet service provider for that website and seize all files related to all organizations, terrorist or not, that utilize that web service, thus getting membership and contributor lists and other internal files for the entire anti-Zionist movement active in the United States and abroad. Such tactics could be used in the future against other political dissidents -- say "white supremacists" that conduct business with German "far-right terrorists", or "communists" the conduct business with Chinese government "terrorism".
