I find it hard to believe that O'Brien would borrow a car belonging to
the son of a big Mafioso figure and allow the backseat to get soiled by
fish blood...

I wondered about the seemingly sudden appearance of this hair, also...
First question is, does the car still exist? I mean, this was a quarter
of a century ago, one would presume that the car would have been traded
in for a newer model at least 20 years ago, unless the authorities
impounded it and still have it in custody....
My guess is that perhaps at the time that Hoffa disappeared, authorities
went over that car with a fine-toothed comb and perhaps a vacuum cleaner,
and the results were sealed in 'baggies' which still exist...and someone
just recently decided to submit the contents of those bags to modern DNA
analysis....
