Do you realize that I am about roughly as far from New York as the entire EU? I was trying to be supportive of them. That's all. There has never been a terrorist attack of this magnitude for comparison. I think they behaved admirable. It could have been sheer chaos. I want the people of the NYC area to know the rest of the country is behind them and supportive. I have no knowledge of soccer and no particular incident in mind. It was the first example of trampling that came to my mind. I spoke without research. Obviously, I should have put aside my own shock and grief and thought of you and the other fans instead. In fact my mind was elsewhere, if you can believe it. I was thinking of our dead and not the sensibilities of British or other fans! How could I? Where are my priorities? But now that you have injected this trivial subject into an otherwise serious discussion, I hate soccer. I always have. I bet now I always will. I have only heard reports of trampling at games. Period. I used what I had heard as an example of trampling. Take it personally if you like or take it any way at all for I do not care what you think. I think this is not the time for nit-picking as you are doing and I do not appreciate it one bit. If you do not like what I am saying, do not read my posts. When times are tough, we find out who our real friends are. I hope you never have to deal with a situation like this but if you do, I hope some little creep will not crawl out from under a rock and try to put words in your mouth and issue veiled threats about something you cannot even understand and invent some slight in the midst of your mourning. Go crawl back under your rock and allow us to deal with our grief in peace. You are despicable! What an utter lack of compassion.
