-Caveat Lector- Sadly, these mediawhores do not even understand the concept of why this is morally wrong. The level of moral reasoning being used here has sunk to a truly frightening level. Tom Brokow is right that the Greatest Generation, those from WWII, is passing away. Look what is replacing it! God help America. There is no amount of military might that will compensate for this mindset and that which demands that we all know the secret location of Dick Cheney every minute. Our military and intelligence has been hamstrung and stripped and gutted and now we are facing a possible armed conflict and the press is not sure which side they are on. ~Amelia~ Traitorous Media Works Leftist Agenda Dan Frisa Thursday, September 14, 2001 Even now, in the midst of the most vicious and horrific attack on Americans on American soil, the leftist media have shown themselves not only incapable of supporting the nation, but of actually undermining the President, with relish. The despicable traitors have made it their mission to undercut the authority of President Bush during America's darkest hour, proving themselves even more cowardly than the terrorist murderers who are the only beneficiaries of such contemptible conduct. This morning's lead editorial in the New York Times is so replete with snide and cynical affect that it is tantamount to a declaration of support for those who murdered tens of thousands innocent Americans. They slammed the President as they opined that "(t)he administration spent much of yesterday trying to overcome the impression that Mr. Bush showed weakness when he did not immediately return to Washington." Yeah, the very "impression" they and their leftist media comrades created all day Tuesday and Wednesday because they longed so much for their panty-waisted, lip-biting, teary-eyed hero - the very gutless wonder who lacked the ability and fortitude to destroy terrorist kingpin Osama bin Laden following other provocations, not the least of which was the assault on the U.S.S. Cole. "The disturbing part of the administration's performance," they whine, "was the refusal of the president or any member of his cabinet to field questions." What? Field questions? These ivory-tower juveniles are nothing more than spoiled brats and mindless, impatient fools. The time to provide information is when the very government under attack decides it is wisest to do so, and not a moment before. They tout the fact that the mayor and governor of New York did so and that it was so "reassuring" to see, even when they had no information to report? Are we missing something? The mayor and governor were involved solely with the rescue and recovery operation on the ground, and did perform a great service in that regard. There is, however, no comparison with the vastly different demands on the Commander In Chief during such a crisis. His responsibility is first and foremost to ensure the very stability of the national government as well as its successful conduct. The President did his job and it's reassuring that he did. There will be an appropriate time to answer questions, the important as well as the inane. The Times further bashed the President by stating that "(h)e must also show that he knows what he is doing. Mr. Bush came to the White House with as little preparation in international affairs as any modern president." This is factually untrue. President Bush served as a close advisor to his father and was privy to the important decisions and the process of forging the allied coalition before and during the Gulf War. Compare that to Clinton's "expertise" in foreign affairs derived through protesting against the U.S. while in England and by "visiting" the Soviet Union, our cold war enemy. This same treasonous song is, of course, being sung by other leftist media egotists such as Canadian Peter Jennings, democrat Dan Rather, society boy Tom Brokaw, sniveling Howard Fineman of Newsweek, pedantic Brian Williams of MSNBC and too-cute by half Katie Couric, among dozens of others. They should be ashamed of themselves and would be well-advised to drop their dangerous game of attacking the President when America itself is under attack. They likely won't relent, as their misguided self-importance demands that their false and deadly carping continue, even if it will provide even more support to America's enemies. This is war and such traitorous behavior is unacceptable. * * * E-mail Dan: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Dan Frisa represented New York in the United States Congress and served four terms in the New York State Assembly. www.ctrl.org DECLARATION & DISCLAIMER ========== CTRL is a discussion & informational exchange list.
