This is just a partial list of "wars" which
U.S. Presidents have declared and committed
our country to fight.
The War to "make the world safe for Democracy".
The War to "end all wars".
The War "against poverty". (Lyndon Johnson)
The War "on Drugs". (Reagan-Bush-Clinton)
And now we have "America's New War".
President G.W. Bush has declared:
The War "Against Terrorism".
Well...
The world was not made safe for democracy.
The War to end all wars obviously failed totally.
The War on poverty never had a chance.
The War on Drugs is a dismal failure.
The track record isn't too encouraging is it?
