Jewish Neo-Cons Purge Writer For "Hate" SPLC Report Contributed To Actions 10/2/01 11:47:44 AM LSN Washington, DC -- Jonah Goldberg, editor of National Review On-line, today purged assistant editor Ann Coulter after the Southern Poverty Law Center singled her out for "hateful" comments about Arabs and Islam. Goldberg also sent a note to LSN telling our editor, Bill White, that those that had been singled out in the SPLC report "were getting what we deserved." White responded with hilarious laughter, and asked if being picked up as a writer for Pravda as a result was "what he deserved." Goldberg told the Washington Post today that the move was not part of a sacrificial purge of non-Jewish columnists to prove his publication wasn't "hateful", but "editorial judgement": "For Ann to go around screaming censorship is absurd. It's called editorial judgment, and there's a world of difference. . . . She's a lawyer. She should know better." In all fairness, Coulter wrote a ridiculous column, calling for the US to conquer the entire Muslim world and convert them to Christianity, but her war- mongering was absolutely in line with Goldberg's editorial policies. Last year, Goldberg suggested that the US should invade all of Africa and "re- colonize" it, converting the Africans to "Western Culture." He was not fired as a result. Other Jewish commentators who have urged extreme measures and who have attempted to pose this was as a general war on Islam, such as Charles Krauthammer, William Kristol, and Norman Podhoretz, have also not been dismissed from their positions as a result, or been criticized by "anti-hate" groups like the SPLC.
