Islamic, Indian and Sikh organizations report that along with the increased security at airports, there has been a dramatic increase in so-called airport profiling - in which passengers have been asked to leave an airplane or were subjected to intense scrutiny because of their appearance. But on Thursday Armed National Guardsmen also grabbed Nancy Oden, a Green Party USA coordinating committee member, at the Airport in Bangor Maine. Nancy, a longtime activist, was preparing to board an American Airlines flight to Chicago for an important Green Party meeting. Not only was she prevented from getting on her plane, she was told she couldn't get on any plane, on any airline, leaving Bangor.
