I think you have made at least one important point here. People trust the government now more than three times higher than in 1994 and doubled since last year. Hmmm, I wonder why? What has changed since those dates? Clinton is no longer president and we all know how he responded to terrorist attacks against America. Could it be that we have a new-found sense of trust because we now have a president who is actually countering the terrorists? Come on!
