Kris,

Below are the links to three articles that explain Zaibatsu, Keiretsu and the one from AmericanMafia.com that links the system to the Yakuza listing some of the Yakuza-controlled companies then known, such as Mitsui.  This gets back to Kodama, head of the Yakuza before WWII who was interned along with many others to rid the system.  MacArthur let him out for his utility and $200 million, according to some circles.

Later today my third in a series of articles about Carneros Inn (the latest attempted land grab in Napa County with S.F. and the pols involved) will be available at Katie's site: http://www.newsmakingnews.com.  Scroll through the news grid and look for "From the Waterfront" banner and "click" there.  The article has the links below tied in ... the first two articles are available at:

The earlier articles on the other resort project, Montalcino, are available using search engines at the site ... particularly interesting to track the boys through ... this deals with the Hong Kong Tycoons -- Geoffre Yeh in particular, whose son V-Nee Yeh had something going with The Blackstone Group (but I don't know if this is the one (Blackstone Group) in Chicago, or the one set up about 1985  by Peter G. Peterson). But note:  Carlucci Carlyle set up is 1985.  Peter G. Peterson (understudy of Sir William Wiseman, the MI6 chief who died about 1962 and was a close friend of Kermit Roosevelt's father and likely Kermit, from prior to the days of "The Room") set up The Blackstone Group.  The boys down under in Houston set up ops under Enron in 1985.  Kermit went underground with Buttes in 1985.  Much triggered by the fact that Buckley and 6 others were taken -- and Buckley was CIA Station Chief ... no matter that he was already dead when Ollie aggressively moved TOW missiles, ops went on everywhere, and were most convenient for Iran-Contra as well.  The is the estimated time that Bass Brothers set up all of those strange subsidiaries under Walt Disney Corp, for they were laid out fully in the 1986 edition of Directory of Corporate Affiliations for all to see ... and that edition relied on 1985 information.
