Wow, Colleen, two posts in one day where I agree with you! Is that the sign before the four horsemen come charging through ;-) In any case, yes, Rice is pretty pathetic. I watched a lot of her explaining to the American people, in a thinly veiled patronizing manner, and sounding very much like she was reading from a text, how important our govt's actions are after 9-11, and she is a hell of a lot less convincing than Ashcroft (even though I'm no fan of his, at least he seems to believe what he's saying, and he is capable of speaking off-the-cuff), which is why I suspect we don't see a whole lot of her anymore. She's contemptible, in that I don't think she understands what she is really saying, though she does seem to be of the conviction that she needs to try *very hard* to convince everyone else that what she is saying is the truth, answering the naysayers like a high-school debater - she's a rank amateur in way over her head.
