-Caveat Lector- Safeway, (what an oxymoron) has had this scam for several years. They can track your purchases and I suspect some alphabet agency could use your buying activities to even add poison to your likely purchases, target to your individual genetic makeup. At least they know your 'name', whatever you give them (Scary Larry! for example :-) and they will greet you with it every time. So you don't have to give your real name, or even your real telephone number. Why not that of the FBI, or the WHite HOUse:
