Muslim World to observe Al Qods day on Friday

As the Zionist regime escalates its atrocities against the
Palestinian nation, the world of Islam is more determined than ever
to unite tomorrow in recognition of World Qods Day, the last Friday
of Ramazan.
The ideas of Qods day and the rallies held to celebrate it were
proposed by the late Imam Khomeini, the Founder of the Islamic
Republic of Iran, to remind the world of the Palestinian plight and
the Zionist regime's brutalities in the occupied territories.
Attended by Muslims around the world, the rally is a slap in the face
of the Zionist regime.
The rally will bring together more than a billion Muslims whose main concern is the
Palestinian struggle against occupation. It comes in the wake of the meeting of
foreign ministers from the 57 countries in the Organizati
on of the Islamic Conference (OIC), which called for the Zionist regime's withdrawal
from Palestinian land.
A statement signed by some 200 Iranian MPs asked for a massive turnout on Friday to
demonstrate genuine support for the Palestinian nation. The MPs denounced the torture
of Palestinians in brutal Zionist prisons and the s
avage massacre and displacement of thousands of Palestinians, including children.
According to the statement, "Over time, Islamic states have tried many strategies to
put an end to the atrocities of the Zionist regime, but nothing has changed due to the
United States' support of the Zionist state."
Other Iranian organizations including the Islamic Propagation Organization (IPO), the
Islamic Culture and Communication Organization (ICCO), and Jame' Rohaniyat-e Mobarez
(JRM) have also invited the Iranian nation to mark
the event.
Also, Iranian Jewish MP Maurice Mo'tamed here Wednesday denounced Zionists' escalation
of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, saying the tensions would eventually lead to
their own destruction.
"The fire which the extremist Zionists have kindled with the complicity of reactionary
elements inside the American Administration and capitalist lobbies in Israel will,
undoubtedly, burn them all," he said at an open ses
sion of Majlis.
"Honorable Jews, in line with their monotheist and humane beliefs will, instead, have
a prosperous future along with the Palestinian nation and live a brotherly life,"
Mo'tamed added.
Mo'tamed further said that his coreligionists will participate, as in the past, in
this year's anti-Zionist Qods Day rallies on Friday.
"Iranian Jews, as in the erstwhile years, will join the meandering
flood of the nation in the International Qods Day rallies ," he said.
He repeated his appeal to Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei, to grant
amnesty to several Jews, held on espionage charges in the southern
city of Shiraz.
"I appeal to the Supreme Leader of the (Islamic) Revolution to
consider the amnesty request which has been submitted by those in a
Shiraz jail, their families as well as myself," he said.
