>>>Now I'M confused. I was under the impression that the Yule tree
tradition was something that was begun in Europa. Just as the
Nazarene's tradition was begun in the Mid East. Now, we have an
cultural importation-exportation of both to mutually foreign lands.
I guess the next best thing to Nararite symbols in Korea (by
extension) would be a bul-koki restaurant in Nazareth. A<>E<>R <<<

No Christmas Tree Allowed In Jerusalem, It's "Israel's Capital"

Occupied Jerusalem, Palestine - A group of activists and sympathizers
with the Palestinian people gathered near the Oriental House in
occupied East Jerusalem yesterday to follow on the footsteps of the
late Faisal Husseini's Christmas rituals.
By the morning time, a tent was already in place and a Christmas tree
was decorated the traditional way. Palestinian dignitaries received
season greetings as foreigners, activists, journalists and diplomats
flocked to the tent.
For Israel who regards the occupied town as it's "eternal and
undivided capital", the gesture of solidarity was always problematic.
Around noon today, Israeli occupation forces dismantled the tent,
confiscated the tree and dispersed activists.
Christian and Muslim speakers, prior to the Israeli move, affirmed
the need for national unity and called on the world to stand by the
besieged holy places.
An activist told Middle East News Online "how can people have the
heart to celebrate the birth of Jesus while his city is destroyed by
Israel." He added, "Bethlehem, Jerusalem and all of these holy places
are not abstracts, they are reality and they suffer while the world
is looking elsewhere." Speakers insisted that without international
protection, Israel shall always feel free to use all violent methods
to carry out its policies. Others sent their message to the Christian
world saying that its time to realize the brutality of the Israeli
occupation, under which thousands of Palestinians Christians as well
suffer.

Believe only after careful observation and analysis, when you find that it
agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all.
