So All the World is a Stage - and there are many entrances and exits....sometimes I believe the brain is timed to these 7 stages. So The Church and Masons both presumably build character. But then a K 9 dog no doubt gets same training.... So as for Church and Masonry - you can go to a Priest for counselling or a Jesuit if luckey and it does not cost a dime. Do not know the going rate for psychologists and psychiatrists these days, but in the Court system it has turned into a racket. Working for the Court one day in a particular case I noted this psycholosist always used the same words, same analysis, same everything and anyone who came into his case load was first labeled "hedonistic" as thought it would be a crime.......it occurred to me they make reports where one size fits all and rip off the public with their lack of knowledge. So would prefer to go to a Priest rather than a psychologist - for they are not likely to categorize a person.
