-Caveat Lector- ok let's get a little 'crazy'
about 3 weeks ago i saw my first black helicopter, brazenly flying over boulder...there were no markings on it...since then i have found several people in boulder that have seen them... so i found a book entitled black helicopters at a local book store and the first page i opened to mentioned a base at grayling, michigan - where my parents just moved to! from a site on black helicopters: "UH-1 "HUEY" - This is by far the most commonly seen helicopter. This Viet-Nam era workhorse is known for the "Thump-thump-thump" sound it makes in flight. This is a result of the two-bladed rotor head. The blade tips travel faster than sound when in forward flight, and the shockwave creates the distinctive sound.
