I know this is a forum for monologues and not dialogues but I couldn't let
that go by as I consider myself to be a Zionist though not a Jew. In every
major city of North America you will find non-Jewish Zionists. Many have
churches as you can find a Protestant Zionist Church among the church
listings in the Vancouver telephone directory. There are also Mormon
Zionists. There are Rastafarian Zionists and so on. Jews are against the
teachings of Jesus Christ who said "I came only to find the lost sheep of
Israel". What part of "only" do I not understand? How then can Christians
support Jewish Zionism? If you express this in terms of, "Who are the
latter-day descendents of the Ancient Israelites?" you get to the heart of
the matter. And that is a matter for careful reasoning; as the De Sola
Poole Traditional Jewish Prayer Book says, "Judaism has never asked for an
unreasoning faith."
