Good grief. Had I known such extremism would be unleashed I would have just shut up. To clarify: Cooper's views can be supported as far as his information is valid and useful; however, no human's information is completely reliable by the very condition of being human. My view is he had some good information and some bad and he himself said don't believe a word of it unless you confirm it for yourself. On the other extreme, there are certainly things the USA could learn from the Canadian system and life is definitely more relaxed under such a system. What is missing is the chance to make obscene profits without giving most of it to a system that dictates sharing and cooperation. My view is such profits are a major cause of strife and personal insecurity in the USA. Those at the top making such profits don't care to share and if they did they wouldn't be where they are in the first place. That is not to judge them one way or another. Until people of the USA understand that deception for profit is not a virtue, nothing will change. Competition is still the prevalent mode of thinking here even though it is in conflict with the nature of the universe.
