__Bush's 'Twins Joke' Is Beyond Disgusting - It's A Total Lie
During his trip to West Virginia last week - while a fallen soldier was being buried -
Bush joked with Bob Kiss, Speaker of the House, about feeding Kiss' 5-week-old twins.
Bush said, "I've been to war. I've raised twins. If I had a choice, I'd rather go to
war." While Americans - and Afghans - continue to die in a real war with real
violence, horror, and death, Bush thinks death is just a joke. Hey George, why don't
you come to Ground Zero, the Pentagon, and Arlington Cemetary and repeat this
disgusting joke? Worse yet, Bush's joke includes an appalling lie - Bush NEVER went to
war! He DODGED Vietnam by pulling family strings to get into the Texas Air National
Guard, so someone else without family connections fought - and possibly died - in his
place. Bush spent his TANG years drunk, and simply went AWOL with 2 years left in his
service obligation. WHEN will the media demand the truth about Bush's AWOL? It's time
for the media to ask serious questions about Bush's outrageous "jokes!"

__Pretzelgate is a Medical Scandal: Bush Has Been Lying About His Heart Arrhythmia
As West Wing fans know, President Bartlet was censured by Congress for failing to
disclose his medical condition. Well guess what - Bush has been lying about his own
medical condition, a heart arrhythmia called bradycardia, which is a resting heart
rate below 60 beats per minute. KPCC reporter David Robb suspected bradycardia caused
Bush to faint after gagging on the pretzel, and after repeated calls to White House
physician Dr. Richard Tubb, Robb finally got confirmation that Bush's "resting heart
rate is 38 to 49 beats per minute." Once again, Bush has violated his promise to bring
"honor and integrity" to the White House. We demand a Congressional censure!

__Unbelievable! Supreme Injustice Anthony Kennedy Launches 'Dialogue on Freedom'
Anthony Kennedy was one of the 5 Justices who threw out 175,000 Florida votes to
appoint Bush as Resident. Incredibly, Kennedy has stepped out from behind the closed
doors of the Supreme Court to launch an educational program called "Dialogue on
Freedom". Kennedy launched the program because of "a lack of 'moral outrage' among
some high school students following the September 11 terrorist attacks." Say WHAT???
When will the media demand that Kennedy address the "moral outrage" of 51 million
Americans who believe he and his Republican cronies STOLE the 2000 election?

__Explosive Report: Did the CIA Bring the 9-11 Terrorists to the US through a 'Jeddah
Connection'?
Canadian Broadcasting Corp's "Dispatches" show recently interviewed Michael Springman,
a former US consular official in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Springman was outraged in 1987
when he discovered CIA officials were arranging US visas for middle eastern men to be
sent to the US to be trained for terrorist operations in Afghanistan. Springman kept a
file until he was fired, but this file was then mysteriously "shredded." Springman
filed whistleblower complaints with every possible US agency, but no action was taken
(except for his firing and file scrubbing). Springman says the "Jeddah Connection"
continued operating until 9-11, citing reports that some of the 15 Saudis who
participated in the 9-11 attacks got visas in Jeddah. Springman says, "For all we
know, it could have been an effort to get the US directly involved in some fashion. I
mean, it's only a few thousand dead and what's this against the greater gain for the
United States in the Middle East?" We demand an investigation of 9-11!

According to Forbes, "A Unocal spokeswoman insists the company never considered
building the pipeline under an illegitimate regime--and is no longer interested in the
region. Still, the potential bounty of delivering $700 million or so of gas each year
is bound to tempt someone, even if Afghanistan's new interim government and old
warlords can't bury the scimitar." This is VERY interesting. Is Unocal lying, or did
Bu$h promise the grand prize of the Afghan War - the gas pipeline to Pakistan - to

Right-wingers led by the loathsome Andrew Sullivan have done triple somersaults to
blame 9-11 on Bill Clinton. But as more and more details of the respective
anti-terrorism policies of Clinton and Bush come out, "compared to Bush, Clinton was
practically Wyatt Earp." In fact, the latest Post article suggests a whole new line of
inquiry: Did Bush, at a key moment, dismantle the Clinton administration's
increasingly effective anti-Al Qaeda apparatus...? And on a related note: Would a
less meddling Gore administration have been able to prevent tragedy?" The answer to
both questions is YES, according to Aaron Marr Page in the American Prospect.

__John Walker Lindh's Lawyer Will Put Bu$h On Trial
In Yellowtimes.org, Larry Chin writes: "James Brosnahan, former federal prosecutor and
former member of the Lawrence Walsh Independent Counsel team, is John Walker Lindh's
attorney." Brosnahan believes Reagan-Bush & Co. covered up their Iran-contra crimes.
"Brosnahan has many points to raise [in Lindh's defense]. For example, Walker Lindh
joined the Taliban during a period in which the Bush... administration considered the
Taliban to be an ally. And that the Bush administration handed over $100 million in
aid to the Taliban, including a $43 million check in May 2001. All of which... makes
George W. Bush and his entire administration guilty of the same charges leveled
against Lindh, including 'providing material support' and 'willfully and knowingly
contributing goods and services to, and for the benefit of, the Taliban' and
'supplying directly and indirectly goods and services to the territory of Afghanistan

__Former FERC Chairman Curtis Hebert Has Proof that Bu$h is LYING About Enrongate!
Bu$h adamantly denies he gave a single "quo" in return for Enron's MILLIONS of
"quids". But the clearest evidence that Bu$h is LYING is former FERC chairman Curtis
Hebert's insistence that Bush hired and fired FERC commissioners at the instruction of
Ken Lay. In the Online Journal, Mike Hersch writes: "Enron gave Bush millions to
sponsor his rise from a losing candidate for the US House to the 'leader of the free
world.' In return, Bush gave Enron 'hire and fire' authority over the FERC, and
performed other favors in return for money. This directly and personally ties Bush to
the Enrongate scandal in all its illegality." We demand a Special Prosecutor - both
for Enron's bribery of the Bu$h administration, and for Bu$h's LIES!

Argentine Cabinet Minister, he received a telephone call from George W. Bush, son of
the then-Vice President. When he hung up, Terragno was annoyed, he recalls, for the
younger Bush had tried to exploit his family name to pressure Terragno to award a
contract worth hundreds of millions of dollars to Enron... [In 1994], replying to a
list of questions from The Nation asking whether George W. Bush spoke to Terragno
about the pipeline project and whether he had any business relationship with Enron,
Bush's gubernatorial campaign issued a terse statement: 'The answer to your questions
are no and none. Your questions are apparently addressed to the wrong person.'" Bu$h
lied about Enron then, and he's lying now - and the American people know it.

__At Enron's Request, Republicans Corrupted the Bankruptcy Bill Too!
No matter which way you turn, you can find Enron's evil influence on every action by
Republicans, both in Bush's White House and Tom DeLay's Congress. Last March, when the
GOP controlled both the Senate and the House, Republicans passed a bankruptcy bill to
increase the legal power of rich lenders and further impoverish poor borrowers. Tucked
away in this wretched bill was a special provision for - you guessed it! - Enron. This
sweetheart deal "would make it impossible for assets shifted off a company's balance
sheet to a separate entity to be pulled back into a company's estate in a bankruptcy."
Thus, Enron could not only hide its debts through off-balance-sheet accounting scams,
but also its assets! 35 law professors have sounded the alarm to Sen. Pat Leahy
(D-VT), chairman of the Judiciary Committee. Citing "the lessons to be learned from
the Enron experience," Leahy is gearing up to block this corrupt provision - and
hopefully the whole rotten bankruptcy bill.

According to the Hill, "Thirteen senators pressured Arthur Levitt, then-chairman of
the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), to abandon a proposed rule that would
have barred accounting firms from doing both auditing and consulting work for the same
client... Letters opposing the proposal were sent to Levitt by Sens. Charles Schumer
(D-N.Y.), Robert Bennett (R-Utah), Evan Bayh (D-Ind.), Gramm, Richard Shelby (R-Ala.),
Robert Torricelli (D-N.J.), former Sen. Rod Grams (R-Minn.), Wayne Allard (R-Colo.),
Jim Bunning (R-Ky.), Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) and Rick Santorum (R-Pa.)... Sens. Ron Wyden
(D-Ore.) and Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.)... voiced their opposition to the former chairman�s
actions... Sources formerly with the SEC say Schumer, Bennett, Shelby, Gramm and Enzi
led the opposition to Levitt�s proposal - opposition that eventually resorted to
threats of funding freezes." How many of these sinners will repent and convert to the
cause of honest accounting?

"The average net worth of the Bush cabinet, including the President and Vice
President, was between $9.3 and $27.3 million. That's nearly ten times the average net
worth of the cabinet officials who were their immediate predecessors, according to a
Center for Public Integrity analysis of executive branch personal financial disclosure
forms...The financial disclosures show that 14 members of the Bush administration
owned stock in embattled energy services firm Enron when they were nominated, worth-at
the time of their filing-as much as $886,000. Enron and its executives and directors
were Bush's most generous campaign contributors, the Center found in The Buying of the
President 2000. Through 2001, they've given Bush $623,000. Among the largest Enron
shareholders are Undersecretary of State Charlotte Beers and senior adviser to the
President Karl Rove, who each held up to $250,000 in the company when their forms were
filed."

"Ken Lay is investigating himself. He has assigned his Enron Corp. subsidiary at 1600
Pennsylvania Avenue to conduct the investigation. His friend and financial beneficiary
George W. Bush is in control of said investigation. Sure, Attorney General John
Ashcroft declared he will recuse himself from the investigation because of Enron
campaign contributions, but the Justice Department which is probing whether any crimes
were committed is still under the auspices of President Bush. Who knows what any of
them are doing behind the scenes?... It is a no-brainer: A special prosecutor who is
free of any conflicts of interest must be appointed. If we can spend $60 million on a
prosecutor to investigate another president's sex life, we can afford an investigator
who will probe a bankruptcy which put 21,000 employees on the street and deprived

__Cliff Baxter's Medical Examiner Has Questionable Past
The death of Cliff Baxter was declared a suicide by Dr. Joye M. Carter,
Chief Medical Examiner
for Harris County, Texas. But questions are being raised about Dr. Carter, whose
career includes alleged cover-ups. Recently, Harris County paid Dr. Elizabeth Johnson
$375,000 to settle a whistleblower lawsuit against Dr. Carter. Every way you turn, the
Enron investigation reeks of conflicts of interest and cover-ups. We demand a Special
Prosecutor!

Media Refuses to Investigate
The parallels between Enrongate and Funeralgate are stunning, and this page presents
them all. For example, both scandals involve a Houston business owned by GW Bush
friend and campaign contributor. Both involve unanswered questions about the company's
relationship with George W. Bush.
And in both cases, a central figure and key witness in investigation died from
"apparent suicide." Now that Enrongate is front page news, will the media EVER notice
its twin scandal, Funeralgate?

__Kenny Boy, I Hardly Knew Ye
As reported in the Washington Post recently, George W. Bush used to be proud of his
nickname for Kenneth Lay, "Kenny Boy." This familiarity certainly befits the position
of a loyal long time family friend, visitor to the Lincoln Bedroom during one's
father's White House occupation, business partner of one's brother, employer of many
of one's father's former staffers, employer himself of former Enron execs, and
largest contributing Bush Pioneer in his presidential campaign, but not a mere
acquaintance, and best buddy to the Democratic Party that the Bush Super Spin Cycle is
attempting to portray him now. This spin cycle needs a good wash first.

Salon's Jake Tapper reports, "The ties between the Bushes and the Saudi royal family
are deep. After the Gulf War in 1992, Prince Bandar had bonded with then-President
George H.W. Bush to the point that New York Times columnist William Safire morphed
them into 'Bandarbush' and wrote: 'When Prince Bandar says 'jump,' George Bush asks
'how high?'' The prince donated at least $1 million to the former president's
presidential library at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. In June 2000,
he attended Barbara Bush's 75th birthday party in Kennebunkport, Maine. Following
reports that the Saudi royal family was chagrined with the U.S. support for Israel, on
July 15 the New York Times reported that President George H.W. Bush called Crown
Prince Abdullah to assure him that his son the president would 'do the right thing'
because 'his heart is in the right place.'" Yep, dubya's heart is in the Saudi
Arabia's back pocket.
