I myself would oppose oppression, even if the Arabs were bulldozing Jewish houses, and Jews were doing the suicide attacks against them from their concentration camps. But the tides of history have turned, and now we have a strong Israel who is doing the oppression. And ALL the reason they REALLY have for it, it seems, is political games for their leaders. This is merely one case of oppression of people in the world, and yet it is the ONLY one that is defended by the perpetrators by making accusements of people who are trying to talk about it, by being anti-semitic. This is a wide strategy of publicity that we are seeing in almost a global scale. I think, however, that it is losing it's effect. Every day those who care to get the information, can read how Palestinian houses were demolished in the middle of the night and how school children were shot by Israeli occupation troops when they were throwing stones. Or how aggravated and oppressed people were frustrated enough to commit one final act of revenge, and kill themselves in a last suicide attack against their oppressors, to finally be free of it all. It is almost funny, how some people still seem to totally refuse to see the other side, don't you think? "Don't open the curtain!", - they yell, for fear of going blind with the light of truth, preferring to keep the shades shut, instead. "Israel can do no wrong" is their mantra, "all who dare criticize Israel are anti-semites". Maybe the arabs in reality are just super-Nazis who hate jews so much so that they are killing themselves for the heck of it? I don't know, but *I* think that people who kill themselves have nothing worth living for and nothing to expect, except perhaps more misery. IMHO, if you wish the violence to end, then stop the racist oppression that is giving it birth. But it apprears that we are no longer allowed to even logically discuss the situation in the middle-east, lest we too are labeled HORRIBLE "anti-semites" or whatever the buzzword of the moment happens to be. It is too bad that American leadership has chosen to keep their own eyes closed. I for one would have thought that black people in there would understand. As history proves it, the people who seek to deny public discussion, about anything, seek to hide things and deny the public the truth. .. Sidenote: EU is banning "hate speech" in the new Cyber Crime bill. I am sure, starting next year that the law is ratified, EU citizens can no longer discuss these things properly. You will be labeled an "anti-semitic hate-speaker" if you should oppose the Israeli oppression of Palestinians. Ironically, this is all done in order to defend the ones doing the racist oppression and apartheid politics, namely Israeli government. This is truly a moment in history - we get a law banning "racist hate-speech", just to outlaw those criticizing the racist apartheid policies and laws of Israel! Who knows, maybe in 50 years, people will be labeled anti-palestinian, but right now, the situation for Palestinians is the same as it was for jews 50 or so years ago, and the same as it was for black people in South Africa and black people in the USA when they were oppressed. Where were you when they were being oppressed? Are you one of those people who just shut up? Or are you one of those who tell people to shut up?
