Mr. Bennett,
I sent you a very inflamatory email earlier and I
did it for a reason. I wanted you to know exactly how inflamatory rhetoric
like yours makes countless Americans like me feel each day with your sensless
and fruitless 'Yer either fer us or again us' attitude. I hope that the words in
that email struck your heart, I hope that when you read me questioning the core
of your beliefs with the same techniques that the Conservative Groups have used
for more than a decade now, that it caused you to fill with rage and spit my
name. I hope also that you always remember that feeling Mr. Bennett, never
forget it for that is just what others feel every day.
Perhaps at some point in the near future, we can
all sit down with our differing points of view, putting our petty
differences aside, and actually have a true dialogue of what has
transpired already in this new millenium and where it is we as a people
want to go. Remember Mr Bennett, as the Bastion of Freedom that we are, we have
an inherit responsibility to promote Peace not War. Perhaps you have never seen
the horrors of war first hand. I don't know. What I do know is that when you
have navigated your Armored Personnel Carrier through a web
of dead human bodies, not sure if it was the rounds from your .50 Cal
machine gun that took those lives and wondering how you can ever live
with your horrible sin of Murder, well you are not so quick to
send your fellow Brothers and Sisters to that Hell. Not even for an empty retribution.
Labeling people like scholars, newspeople
and everyone who disagrees with you as ignorrant disidents and
potential threats is not Democracy and it never will be no matter how it is
spun. My Grandfather once told me that a man can take a bucket of excrement,
paint it all the colors of the rainbow and even perfume the smell out of it. In
the end, after all his hard work the man will have a beautiful looking,
wonderfully smelling, bucket of crap. By falsely accusing people of being
un-patriotic for calling for things like accountability from our
Leaders, be they elected by the people or not, will ultimately take away from
finding the true terrorist among us. We must find them I agree, but
destroying the very things that have made this country so Great is not going to
help accomplish this necessary goal. If you want to stop international terrorism
Mr. Bennett, stop giving it fuel.
God Bless You Mr. Bennett and ALL of us
here and may we as a people of America and the World get through these troubling
times seeing with the Eyes of God, Hearing with the Mind of God and Loving
with the Heart of God.
