Wants compensation from Israel
Leader of the Socialist Left Party, Kristin Halvorsen, says Norway should consider
asking Israel for compensation for having destroyed Palestinian infrastructure worth
billions, financed in part by Norwegian aid money.
-We have financed infrastructure worth billions in the Palestinian areas. The Israelis
have now bombed much of this to pieces, and it only reasonable to raise the
question of compensation, Halvorsen says.
-The question should be brought up at the Conference of Contributing Nations, which
will be held in Oslo later this week.
We will there be joined by other nations, which have also contributed considerably,
Halvorsen says.
