Birthday of Malcom X - May 19th
|
"Revolutions are never based upon love-your-enemy and pray-for-those-who-spitefully-use-you. And revolutions are never waged singing 'We Shall Overcome.'...Revolutions are never based upon that which is begging a corrupt system to accept us into it. Revolutions overturn systems. And there is no system on this earth which has proven it selfmore corrupt, more criminal, than this system that in 1964 still colonizes 22
million African-Americans, still enslaves 22 million Afro-Americans."
Malcom X, on May 19th 2002 would have been his 77th birthday. More

National Day of Action Against Taco Bell! 03/11!

"The tomatoes Taco Bell buys for its tacos are produced in what can only be
described as sweatshop conditions," said Lucas Benitez of the Coalition of
Immokalee Workers. "Twenty years of picking at
sub-poverty wages, no right to overtime pay, no right to organize or join a
union, no health insurance, no sick leave, no paid holidays or vacation, and
no pension is a national disgrace..." Enough is Enough!
Join the national day of action against Taco Bell at their Headquarters in Irvine, CA!

Voice of the Voiceless
|
In 1982, Mumia Abu-Jamal -- Black journalist, revolutionary
activist, and political prisoner -- was framed for killing a
Philly cop. He was convicted and sentenced to death in a
blatantly unjust trial.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court denied political prisoner Mumia
Abu-Jamal's appeal on October 29. The system might soon move to
execute this revolutionary "voice of the voiceless."
The struggle is being escalated to save Mumia's life.
