Jupiter Island the richest town in the U.S.

The richest town in America is Jupiter Island, but the folks there
would just as soon no one mention it.
"We're not really interested in that," said Town Commissioner Jane
Doggett. The U.S. Census says the average personal income in the town
of 620 is $200,087.
Four Palm Beach County towns rank in the top 25 nationwide: Village
of Golf (fifth, $144,956), Manalapan (seventh, $143,729), Gulf Stream
(11th, $133,729) and Palm Beach (25th, $109,219).
On the other end of the scale are Belle Glade ($11,159), Pahokee
($10,346), the unincorporated town of Indiantown ($11,085) and South
Bay ($9,126). Residents in the Lake Okeechobee towns are among the
lowest 8.5 percent in per capita income in the country, census
figures show.
