Another balance of power that has me puzzled is Sicilian
versus Corsican. Bonanno was on the Permindex board,
representing US Corsican mob in the JFK assassination.
But look at Ed Lansdale and Lucien Conein's bloody
substitution of Trafficante and Sicilian mob for French
Connection Corsicans in SE Asia early in the US Vietnam
war, then again in 911 we see Pak ISI as CIA surrogate
handing $100,000 to Atta and assassinating Northern
Alliance's French i.e. Corsican connected Gen. Masud,
almost the same day, just before 9/11/2001. CIA's heroin
godfather during the 1980's was Gulbaddin Hekmatyar
and he was always backstabbing Masud, killing about
200 Tajik field commanders, I think it was.
 
I can only guess that Corsicans are fine with CIA unless
they are run by French intel, as they were in SE Asia
and in Afghanistan the Tajiks up north had French and
Chinese affiliations. You can't blame them because
they had no one else to turn to.
 
Afghanistan parallels Vietnam in many ways. The
assassination of Masud who had French connections,
the porous border with sanctuary in Pakistan and
which could evolve into a replacement of Al Qaeda
with unlimited muslim extremist recruiting just like
Viet Cong were really NVA after 1968. Also the
off the map CIA heroin utopia in Laos and Cambodia
is paralleled by the C-shaped Iranian semi-sphere
of influence from the south to Uzbekhistan, where
we think Laos' Secord has been trading guns for
drugs and training for two years. Hekmatyar had
sanctuary in Iran and Iranian spec ops forces in
Afghanistan are probably heroin trade security.
All the attention is on Pak-run guerillas and none
on Iranian allied guerillas. They don't call the Pak
junta the Pak Noriegas for nothing, the Pak border
is a smuggling conduit, but that's the front door
and Iranian influence areas are off the screen
like behind-the-iron-curtain Laos. No surprise
that Secord is reported to operate from Uzbekhistan
and that is the top of Hekmatyar's Iranian secured "C".
 
Was it even strategic to secure the Kosovar link before
retaking Afghanistan for poppy growing and assassinating
the French connection's Masud?

Does it have to be a one leading the other relationship? I see it as
more fluid than that. I think that probably in and around Israel, Israel
is superior. There have been conflicts and alliances between the two.
But you have to throw in British, French and Russian intelligence as
well. Sometimes they work together, sometimes alliances form, dissolver
and reform based upon conditions.

The Israeli sinking of the U.S.S. Liberty in 67 was unconscionable and I
think a case where Israel "trumped" the CIA and NSA. The tables turn,
and turn again. Even allies become opponents at times.

I'm sorry if this is a really stupid question; however, I am sincerely
interested in your viewpoint on this matter.

I realize that the CIA and Mossad have a long long close relationship.

However, the question is....

Which one of the two leads the other? Obviously they both mislead
eachother, <g>, but which one is "master" who can demand, "Jump!" and
have the other acquiesce, obsequiously asking, "How high???"

Also, Gordon Thomas' book GIDEON'S SPIES: The Secret History of the
Mossad --- it does NOT make them look so good, particularly nowadays,
and that other agencies such as Shin Bet or Aman are highly superior -
and that the infighting among all Israeli spy agencies is exceptionally
fierce.

Does this ring *true* --- according to information that YOU have access
to, in the Real World, outside of books or the Net?
