September storm in a teacup ad

The Starbucks coffee chain has removed an advertising poster from more than
3,000 cafes in the US and Canada because its picture of a dragonfly hovering
beside two big cups of iced tea reminded some customers of the terrorist attack on
the World Trade Centre.
But it was the words on the advertisement for the company's Tazo Citrus and
Tazoberry summer drinks - "Collapse into Cool" - that provoked one visitor to a New
York branch to complain to the the New York Post that the ad was "insensitive".
Criticism on the late-night talk show Politically Incorrect followed, eventually
prompting the Seattle-based company to order the poster taken down.
"As a responsible company, we want to ensure that nobody is offended," its
spokeswoman said, adding that no customers had complained directly to the
company about the advertising campaign.
