It can't be, after September eleventh, that the United States is still harboring and supporting foreign terrorists in our own country can it? Everywhere in the nation we'll be setting off our own mini-bombs and sky rockets in celebration of our independence and as soon as the sun sets everyone will be watching fireworks somewhere. It's tradition. Surely, the terrorists wouldn't think of that as an opportunity. Ooohhh, ahhh, look at that one, it's forming a mushroom. On second thought, don't look at it. The flash is enough to blind anyone outside the area of total devastation and up to sixty miles away from the center. After fifty years of a Mexican standoff Cold War where either side could have started a nuclear disaster that would have wiped out almost everyone on both sides, we're supposed to shake in our boots over bands of guerillas infiltrating our country and snapping at our heels. Fortunately, we've finally agreed with Russia to take two-thirds of these nukes off submarines and launch pads where terrorists might get their hands on them and we're starting to put them in warehouses where they'll be safe, right? That only leaves enough immediate power to shake the earth off its axis and send us hurtling into the sun three times instead of nine. Progress. And Bill Clinton refused to sign the treaty that would have outlawed land mines. He said that they were a necessary tool to our military. So, maybe you better watch where you walk on the Fourth just like the kids and farmers in half the world where we've left these tools behind. And good old President Bush is trying to change our policy to "first strike." No doubt, he's once again got the statisticians figuring out acceptable collateral damage from retaliation or from any nation on his list that decides if you're going to be invaded and run over anyway, and you've got 'em, then you might as well be the first to strike. And who doesn't have them? In 1956 a high school kid built an "A" bomb in his father's garage. Personally, I'm not worried about the Fourth although I wouldn't buy any fireworks from some swarthy dark haired person with an Arabian accent. I try to teach my kids safety with their cherry bombs and bottle rockets. I don't think I would buy them from Ollie North either. You see, I don't think the evildoers are after us, the truly innocent and na�ve people of this country. I think they're after the New World Order. The tentacles of imperialism that have been spreading into their homelands for years, accidentally killing their wives and children on school buses, wayward smart bombs, pilot error, and outright invasion that cost them dearly as well as taking away their means of making a living, their oil, or minerals. For all I know, terrorists could be the husbands, wives, or children of fishermen that one of our nuclear subs knocked off in Hawaii, or the ski lift we knocked down in Italy, the Iranian civilian airliner that the USS Vincennes shot out of the sky over the Persian Gulf, or Bosnians that lost their children when bridges and convoys of buses were carelessly attacked, even relatives of the Canadians or the wedding party we accidentally bombed in Afghanistan. Who knows for sure? Certainly not the CIA that didn't even notice when our fifty year enemy, the age old target of spying and counter spying, was going broke in 1988. No, I think the terrorists are after the government, Congress and the Administration inside the Beltway along with the World Bank, Federal Reserve, and the International Monetary Fund also inside the Beltway. The heart of the New World Odor, an operation that depends on setting up our own international money control. International banking at the WTC was a prime player and no one can question what its destruction did to our economy. Of course, I wouldn't want to be around Wall Street, the UN, the Council on Foreign Relations private club, or the New York Federal Reserve Bank that's a prime leader of the twelve Federal Reserve banks spread around the country. And I don't think that I would want to travel on a plane or train with any of our federal politicians or news anchors. Can you check the passenger list ahead of time? Do you think President Bush and Vice President Cheney are taking to the bunkers on the Fourth? Surely, the man who transfers the seat of power in order to have a colonoscopy would certainly do something significant on this symbolic and opportune date wouldn't he? Who's next in the chain of command? Isn't it the Speaker of the House, Dennis Hastert? I don't think I'll look towards Chicago on the evening of the Fourth. In fact, I'll get very suspicious about who knows what if I don't see the titulary heads of the New World Order taking precautions on this supposedly dangerous date. But I don't think the terrorists are after you or me. And that means the government is wasting billions of dollars to create fear in the public, fear that makes people willing to give up their rights in return for increased protection and/or a police state. <A HREF="http://www.ctrl.org/">www.ctrl.org</A> DECLARATION & DISCLAIMER ========== CTRL is a discussion & informational exchange list.
