So. Are we to read that one person over there is worth fifty-six over here?

If so, since when? By my basic calculation, One = One.

This reads like some preposterous appeal to emotionality. I would counter that any
Americans who suffer at
the hands of terrorists would infinitely be more valuable than anyone else, simply
because they who do
suffer are usually in uniform (non-civilians) and do not have the luxury of sitting
around in some urbanised
area, complaining about the air conditioning and the gridlock of traffic, considering
whether or not their condo
is going to bring the improperly maximised price. Unless one considers a tent city
with a stiff winter breeze,
crowded cots and whether the supply guy will get upgraded canvas to be the same thing.

So, in MY appeal to justified emotionality, let us consider who the Americans are who
are out there in the
boonies, austenisbly defending somebody's country, generally not their own, the one
they swore to defend.

Solutions to the dead and dying in the Middle East are not comparable or even
compatible with American
goals and aspirations around the World. Our people came over here to be rid of
factious infighting, not to
repeat the errors of their Old World, old thinking, old timey forebears and not to
support those who haven't
been able to learn these lessons and still insist on scraping off scabs and digging
into festering wounds. Until
there are some significant policy changes and regards for everyone's history and
corresponding rights, we're
gonna be multiplying fractions by decimal points.

No, One doesn't equal One, after all. One of ours is not even in the same equation,
no matter how hard one
tries to make it so.
