I have proposed here a month or so ago that the USA not only has designs
upon Iraq, but also Iran and Saudi Arabia. Now it seems that there is some
serious defensive concern in this country with Saudi Arabia, though no
specific proposal for change in that country's regime has been
mentioned. The famous political cartoonist Oliphant has just depicted a
caricature of Uncle Sam walking down the street chatting with three Saudis
-- three daggers stuck in his back. Other articles I'm reading seem to
indicate that as 9/11 anniversary approaches and there is no sign of Osama
Bin Laden, the US' rather desperate search for enemies to attack next
("retributive justice") will focus in on the Saudis because most of the
suicide hijackers were Saudi and it was Saudi money (through Bin Laden, a
Saudi) that financed the operation.

OK, we agree that the most "Strangelovian" of all possibilities cannot be
ruled out. And since my doctorate is in phil-psych, let me propose that
"Junior's" unresolved Oedipus Complex is driving it. Remember when Bush,
Sr. said (re Saddam) "I'm gonna whip his ass"? There's your clue.
Junior's subconscious is working overtime. His "id" is directing his "ego"
to do what Sr. could not do, i.e. 'whip Saddam's ass' and thereby prove
that he is "da man" who can win momma's sexual favours. This
sabre-rattling is sublimated libido. And if it goes to war, tens of
thousands will die because little boy Bush has failed to undergo psychotherapy.
