-Caveat Lector- First question when any Web site is shut down: Did they pay the bill? I've heard of enough times where a Web site got shut down "for political reasons" only to find out that the people in charge forgot to pay ICANN for the domain name after the first year, or they didn't pay their IP for the web hosting, that it's kind of a first assumption when I read that a site is "shut down." After the question of the bills is answered, and after it is ascertained that the hosting IP's servers aren't down, THEN you can start thinking about political reasons.
