This "pre-emptive strike precedent" that he talks about is really a "PRECEDENT FOR STATE TERRORISM". As Bonny Brown, MP said in Parliament, it sets a precedent for Pearl-Harbour-like strikes on sovereign foreign powers at the discretion of the Whitehouse. THAT IS DANGEROUS TO CANADA. In a world of rapid change in which "a people have the right to self-determination" by the International Bill of Human Rights and international law, and in which there are thousands of groups constituting 'a people' which chafe under the domination of others, this could be very, very dangerous to Canada. What if Canada should decide to peacefully balkanize as national policy and become a sort of UN of the North? This country is, after all, as big as Western Europe and could become MANY NATIONS IN A GREAT CONFEDERACY. That Confederacy could expand and start absorbing LIBERTY-LOVING AMERICAN STATES.
