Can you try "ClickToFocus"? It will also change the TitleFocus option and it *may* change how the WM_TAKE_FOCUS is handled (but the code looks like it ought to handle all cases, even if it is a bit convoluted). It may not make a difference at all, but if so, then at least we know. > I have attached my ~/.ctwmrc > (Please don't laugh - I haven't changed this in maybe 10 years > - I am not customizing a lot :P) :-) There seems nothing weird there, at least... > I gave those a short try: > - wmname LG3D > - update-alternative switch from oracle to openjdk > - _JAVA_AWT_WM_NONREPARENTING=1 > (which I found at: http://awesome.naquadah.org/wiki/Problems_with_Java) I tried the last one for a bit and probably my Java version doesn't look at that. At least I saw no difference. ctwm is (if I understand correctly what they mean[1]) a reparenting window manager. [1] ctwm creates a window for the frame (in which it draws the title bar and border) and places the client's window inside it. That gives it a new parent window, hence reparenting. I think this is what they mean. > P.S. Are you the Olaf Seibert who ported nethack to the Amiga long ago? > Big late thank you for that from here :) Yes, the very same. And thank you! (Currently there exists a "sequel" called unnethack, in case you're interested). -Olaf. -- ___ Olaf 'Rhialto' Seibert -- The Doctor: No, 'eureka' is Greek for \X/ rhialto/at/xs4all.nl -- 'this bath is too hot.'
