GTK applications for some reason all have an invisible parent window. As far as CTWM in versions pre 3.7 is concerned, all visible GTK windows are transients. If you have set TransientHasOccupation in your .ctwmrc that should make it work the way you want it to. Without it, transient windows can only occupy the same workspace as their parent window. There are patches accepted into 3.7 that should take this into consideration. I just tried with 3.7 with and without TransientHasOccupation and could get an occupy window for oowriter. MC
