That may depend on the X version one has, since I don't see this
problem. I have attached a part of a screenshot.

revert the change from "maroon" to "rgb:2/a/9" since the greenish is

I have the X version that comes by default with NetBSD/amd64 3.0, which
is according to XFree86.0.log,

WM_LOCALE_NAME(STRING) = "nl_NL.ISO8859-1"
which seemes to come from my bash_login script
