If you use CygWin and X11 Windows on a MSW PC you might be interested in a
twm(1)/ctwm(1) setup that
uses cygstart(1) and about 250 scripts to make a well-integrated environment
that merges the GNU tools
and Open Software available with CygWin with the most useful MicroSoft Windows
applications.

A subdirectory called "~/.twm" is created by the setup script TWM.TGU that
contains all the files. They
configure X11 Windows and twm(1)/ctwm(1) and provide dozens of useful scripts.

If you use xterm(1) windows you will find a number of commands (kolor, esc, 80,
132, fixed, full, raise, icon ...) that let you use the command line to change
xterm fonts, sizes and colors dynamically. You can
scroll by using alt-F and alt-B or alt-E and alt-Y instead of using the mouse
too.

If you already have Cygwin and X11 Windows installed with twm or ctwm
(preferred) it should take less than
five minutes to set up and try the setup.

You can download the setup file from
       http://home.comcast.net/~urbanjost/CYGWIN/index.html
Although this configuration is not as aethetically pleasing as many others, it
is very functional. If you use
CygWin and you are not familar with cygstart(1), wxpaste(1), xrdb(1) and X11
resource files you will find
many examples that show interesting ways to utilize these commands.

Enjoy!
